Saturday, 4 October, 2025 | Machu Picchu Packages | 0 Comentarios

Tour Summary

This exclusive car tour was created for those who wish to have an experience in harmony with nature, combining a car journey and hiking. Finally, you will visit the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu.

This tour was created due to the high costs and, at times, the difficulty of finding train tickets to Machu Picchu during high season. Therefore, this new alternative route exists for travelers who want to reach Machu Picchu quickly and with less time.

General Information

DAY 1: CUSCO – SANTA MARIA – SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES
Early in the morning, after breakfast, you will be picked up by our vehicle to start the journey heading north through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we will appreciate the different altitudinal levels of the Peruvian Andes. Gradually, we will ascend until reaching the highest point of the mountain, known as “Abra Málaga,” located at 4,318 m.a.s.l. This is a dividing point between the Andes and the Peruvian Amazon, where we will stop to admire the entire Andean mountain range and the cloud forest of the high jungle.

Then, we will begin descending by transport into the jungle, where the landscape becomes greener and the weather warmer. We will arrive at the town of Santa María, where we will take an alternate route passing through a deep valley with fruit and coca plantations until reaching the town of Santa Teresa. In this town, we will have lunch, and after a short rest, we will go to the thermal medicinal baths of Cocalmayo, considered among the best in Peru.

After enjoying a relaxing bath, with joy and patience we take the transport to Hidroelectrica, from where we will walk along the train tracks through a beautiful landscape of mountains covered in dense vegetation, under the sound of cicadas and birds, until reaching the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU
Very early, around 5:00 a.m., you must be ready to board the transport that will take you to the sacred citadel of Machu Picchu. This short bus trip lasts only 20 minutes, along an unpaved, steep, zigzagging road through a mountain with jungle characteristics and impressive views. Finally, we will arrive at the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, where our local guide will lead a tour through the most important areas of this beautiful Inca city, visiting its main highlights. Later, you will have free time to explore the site on your own. Around 1:00 p.m., we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch and then start the walk back along the train tracks to Hidroelectrica, arriving around 4:00 p.m., where we will take the bus back to Cusco.

Arrival in Cusco is estimated around 10:00 p.m. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.
End of the excursion.

Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Saturday, 4 October, 2025 | Inca Trail to Machu Picchu | 0 Comentarios

Tour Summary

The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is considered one of the best adventure trekking routes in the world due to its exquisite natural beauty, flora (ferns, lush vegetation, and a variety of orchids), and the presence of endangered species such as the Spectacled Bear (Tremarctos ornatus), the Andean Cock-of-the-Rock (Rupicola peruviana), and the Dwarf Deer (Pudu mephistopheles). Along the route, we will pass through mysterious archaeological sites such as Qorihuayrachina, Llactapata, Runcurakay, Sayacmarca, the Inca Tunnel, Phuyupatamarca, Intipata, Wiñayhuayna, and Inti Punku. This journey includes different ecological zones, from high-altitude deserts to Andean tropical forests, areas covered in vegetation that give the impression of being discovered for the first time, culminating at the lost city of the Incas: Machu Picchu, now the modern “Wonder of the World.”

General Information

Day 01: Cusco – Inca Trail (Km 82 Llactapata Wayllabamba)
Early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in our bus and head to Ollantaytambo, where we’ll have time for breakfast in a tourist restaurant. You will also have time to purchase any last-minute items before continuing by bus to Km 82 (Piscacucho), the first checkpoint and starting point of the Inca Trail. After approximately 2 hours of hiking, we’ll arrive at the Inca archaeological site of Llactapata, which means “Llaqta = Town” and “Pata = High Place,” an Inca settlement dedicated to agriculture with many terraces. Our guide will give you a detailed explanation, followed by lunch prepared by our chef. Next, we proceed to the Puyupatamarca Archaeological Complex, composed of impressive fountains and water channels—an outstanding example of Inca hydraulic engineering—where we’ll rest and have a guided tour. After lunch, we continue our hike to Wiñayhuayna, where we’ll have our last campsite, dinner, and overnight stay.

We will then have a guided tour of the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, exploring different areas such as the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Royal Cemeteries, and much more. After the guided tour, you will have some free time to continue enjoying this Wonder of the World and take beautiful photos. Afterwards, we’ll descend by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch. Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu

Saturday, 4 October, 2025 | Inca Trail to Machu Picchu | 0 Comentarios

Tour Summary

The Salkantay route is an ancient Inca trail that connected the Apurimac Valley with the edge of the jungle near Machu Picchu. It offers much more spectacular views and diverse ecological zones. Along the way, we will walk past lagoons, impressive snow-capped peaks such as Salkantay, cross rivers, and enter subtropical zones with abundant vegetation and wildlife. This path is an excellent option for those who wish to escape the most crowded routes and reach Machu Picchu in a shorter time, or for those looking for an alternative when the spaces for the traditional Inca Trail are already full.

This impressive excursion passes beneath Mount Salkantay (6,710 masl / 22,014 ft), one of the highest and most spectacular peaks in the Peruvian Andes. The first days will be dominated by the breathtaking snow-capped peaks of Salkantay, Soraypampa, Salkantay Pass, Chaullay, and Santa Teresa. On the second day, we will hike from Santa Teresa to Hidroeléctrica and then to Aguas Calientes. The last day will be devoted to visiting the sacred Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. This trek is an excellent alternative for travelers with limited time or for those who couldn’t find space on the traditional Inca Trail. The Salkantay trek was recently named by “National Geographic Adventure Travel” as one of the top 25 best treks in the world.

General Information

DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA
Pick up from the hotel (around 5:00 a.m.). We will board our transport heading toward the town of Mollepata, a charming village with friendly people and a mild climate, approximately 2 and a half hours away. Upon arrival, we’ll have an American breakfast (not included), and then continue by car until we reach Challacancha, where we’ll begin our hike of about 3 hours before arriving at Soraypampa.

At Soraypampa, we’ll have lunch and then some free time to rest. We’ll spend our first night here. In the afternoon, we will visit the beautiful Humantay Lagoon, a small but stunning turquoise lake where you can take photos and relax amidst the scenery. Around 5:00 p.m., we’ll return to our Soraypampa campsite, where our cook will be waiting with hot tea to help us recover our energy. After a short rest, we’ll enjoy dinner and then sleep until the next day.

DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – SALKANTAY PASS – CHAULLAY
Early in the morning, after a hearty breakfast, we’ll start hiking toward the Salkantay Pass (4,540 masl / 14,895 ft), the highest point of the entire route. We’ll ascend for about 4 hours to reach the pass, where we’ll take a short rest and enjoy the breathtaking mountain views. Along the way, we’ll find several stone piles known as “apachetas” (offerings made with stones for safe travels). Afterward, we’ll descend for about an hour to our lunch spot, and then continue hiking for approximately 3 more hours until we reach Chaullay, our second campsite. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: CHAULLAY – LA PLAYA – HIDROELECTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES
After breakfast, we’ll depart from Chaullay around 7:00 a.m. and continue hiking toward Collpapampa along narrow paths surrounded by abundant vegetation typical of the area, such as various orchid species, waterfalls, and a wide variety of birds.

After about 5 hours of hiking, we’ll finally reach Sawayaco, known as “La Playa,” where we’ll take a local transport to the Hidroeléctrica train station. Here, you’ll have two options:

  1. If you are tired, you can take the train to Aguas Calientes.
  2. If you still have energy, you can walk from Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes for approximately 3 hours along the railway. Once in Aguas Calientes, we’ll head to the accommodation included in the tour. At 7:00 p.m., dinner will be served at a local restaurant. All expenses in Aguas Calientes are covered by the company. Includes: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and hotel accommodation.

DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Early in the morning (5:30 a.m.), we’ll have breakfast and then take the first bus that will take us to the Wonder of the World: the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, in a journey of about 20 minutes.

We’ll then have a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, during which the guide will show us the most important sites of the Citadel (Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, Agricultural Terraces, and other religious centers). After the visit, you’ll have some free time to take photos and explore on your own (the duration depends on your train schedule, as you must be at the station 30 minutes before departure). You may also choose to climb Huayna Picchu (not included) to enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the entire citadel. Finally, we’ll take the train back from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (about 2 hours), and then a vehicle to Cusco, arriving at your hotel.

Great Salkantay Trail to Machu Picchu

Saturday, 4 October, 2025 | Inca Trail to Machu Picchu | 0 Comentarios

Tour Summary

The route to Salkantay is an ancient Inca trail that connected the Apurímac Valley with the edge of the jungle near Machu Picchu. It offers far more spectacular views and a variety of ecological zones. We will walk among lagoons and beneath impressive snow-capped peaks such as Salkantay, crossing rivers and subtropical areas full of vegetation and wildlife. This trail is an excellent option for those who wish to escape the most crowded routes or for those seeking an alternative when places on the traditional Inca Trail are full. This impressive excursion passes below Mount Salkantay (6,710 masl / 22,014 ft.), one of the highest and most striking peaks of the Peruvian Andes. The first days are dominated by the impressive snow-capped peaks of Salkantay, Soraypampa, the Salkantay Pass, Chaullay and Santa Teresa. On the second day we will walk from Santa Teresa to the Hydroelectric station and then to Aguas Calientes. The final day features the visit to the impressive sacred citadel of the Incas — Machu Picchu. This excursion is an interesting alternative for those with limited time or who could not secure space on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The Salkantay trek was recently named by National Geographic Adventure Travel as one of the top 25 treks in the world.

General Information

DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA
Hotel pick-up (approx. 05:00 a.m.). We will board the vehicle heading to the town of Mollepata, a friendly village with a temperate climate, approximately 2½ hours away. Upon arrival in the town we will have an American breakfast (not included), then continue by vehicle to Challacancha and from there begin our hike of about 3 hours until we reach the Soraypampa area.
In Soraypampa we will have lunch and then some time to rest. This will be our first overnight camp, and during the afternoon we will have time to visit the Humantay lagoon, a small but impressive lake where you can take photos and relax with the beautiful scenery. Around 5:00 p.m. we will be back at our first Soraypampa campsite where our cook will be waiting with some hot tea to regain strength. After a short rest at camp we will have dinner and sleep until the next day.

DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – SALKANTAY PASS – CHAULLAY
Very early in the morning we will depart from our camp; after a hearty breakfast we will hike toward the Salkantay snow peak (4,540 masl), which is the highest point of the entire route. We will climb for approximately 4 hours to this first pass where we will take a short break to enjoy the breathtaking views visible from this point. Along the way we will encounter several stone cairns called Apachetas (stone offerings for a safe journey). Afterward we will descend for approximately 1 hour to have lunch and then continue walking for about 3 more hours until we reach Chaullay, where our second camp is located.
Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: CHAULLAY – LA PLAYA – HYDROELECTRIC – AGUAS CALIENTES
After our breakfast we will depart Chaullay at approximately 7:00 a.m. to continue our hike toward Collpapampa, traversing narrow trails with abundant local flora such as various types of orchids and waterfalls that you will see throughout the route, as well as a wide variety of birds.

After about 5 hours of hiking, we will finally arrive at Sawayaco, known as “La Playa,” where we will take local transport to the Hydroelectric train station. Here you will have two options:

  1. If you are exhausted, you can take the train to Aguas Calientes.
  2. If you still want to walk, you can hike from Hydroelectric to Aguas Calientes for approximately 3 hours along the railway. Once in Aguas Calientes, we will check into the hotel included in the tour. At around 7:00 p.m. we will have dinner at a local restaurant. All expenses in Aguas Calientes covered by the company include: breakfast, lunch, dinner and hotel accommodation.

DAY 4: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Very early in the morning (05:30 a.m.), we will have breakfast and take the first bus that will take us to the Wonder of the World: the Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, approximately a 20-minute ride.

We will then enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours where the guide will take us through the most important parts of the Citadel (Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Three Windows, the Intihuatana, Agricultural Terraces and other religious centers). After our visit, we will have some free hours to take photos and explore Machu Picchu on our own (the time depends largely on the train schedule you are assigned, since you must be at the station half an hour before train departure). Another option is to climb Huayna Picchu (not included) to enjoy an impressive view of the entire Citadel. Finally, we will take the return train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo (about 2 hours), then a vehicle back to the city of Cusco and to your hotels.

Humantay Lagoon & Condor Lookout

Saturday, 4 October, 2025 | Humantay & Seven Colors Experiences | 0 Comentarios

Tour Summary

This package gives you the opportunity to visit not only the beautiful Humantay Lagoon but also another very important tourist attraction located near the town of Mollepata — the Flight of the Condors at the Chonta viewpoint, a privileged spot where you can observe the most sacred bird of the Andean world, the Condor, in its natural habitat.

General Information

DAY 1: CUSCO – KILLARRUMIYOC – CONDOR FLIGHT CHONTA – MOLLEPATA
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. in our private transport heading north of Cusco city, toward the Chonta Canyon located in the Limatambo district. On the way, we will make a stop at Killarumiyoc, an important Inca archaeological site dedicated to the worship of the Moon, which many believe may also have been an Inca astronomical center.

Continuing our journey by transport, we will reach the highlands of the mountains and arrive at the town of Chonta, located at 3,200 m.a.s.l., from where we will start a downhill hike to the canyon itself, where we can observe the condors in their natural environment.

Around midday, the show begins — condors start flying above and below us. With some luck, we may see more than 10 condors at once — an incredible experience! After observing the condors and taking pictures, we’ll return to Chonta, where we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch with a panoramic view of the Apurimac Canyon — another unforgettable experience.

In the afternoon, we will take our transport for a one-hour drive to the town of Mollepata, where we’ll stay overnight at Hostal Inti Killa.

DAY 2: MOLLEPATA – HUMANTAY LAGOON – CUSCO
The next day, our goal will be to reach the mountain and the stunning Humantay Lagoon, located at 4,300 m.a.s.l.

The day begins with a 7:30 a.m. pickup from your accommodation in Mollepata, followed by a buffet breakfast at Casa Salkantay Restaurant. We will then drive for about an hour along a dirt road to Soraypampa, a tourist camp located at 3,800 m.a.s.l. From there, we will start a hike to Humantay Lagoon lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, reaching 4,300 m.a.s.l. (Remember, at Soraypampa you can rent horses if needed.)

At Humantay Lagoon, you’ll have free time to take the best photos and participate in a short symbolic Andean ceremony before returning to Soraypampa. Then, we’ll take our private transport back, stopping once more at Casa Salkantay Museum Restaurant for a buffet lunch, followed by a short explanation from our guide about the archaeological pieces found in the area.

On the way back to Cusco, we’ll stop in Limatambo — a fertile and warm valley where you can taste and purchase avocados grown by local farmers. We’ll return to Cusco between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.
