General Information

DAY 1: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY – OLLANTAYTAMBO – AGUAS CALIENTES
We will pick you up at 8:00 a.m. to take the transport and head first to Corao, a place where we can appreciate beautiful South American camelids, and then continue the journey over the Vilcanota River for a panoramic view of the Inca citadel of Pisac. Here, we will have the opportunity to get to know the customs of the local people. We will then continue towards Urubamba where we will have lunch at a tourist restaurant. In the afternoon, after lunch, we continue our journey towards the fortress and citadel of Ollantaytambo, built to guard the entrance to this part of the valley and protect it from possible invasions from jungle inhabitants. We will have the opportunity to walk through the narrow streets of the town to get a clear idea of how this military, religious, and cultural center was during Inca times. After the guided tour, we will head to the train station to take the train that will take us to the town of Aguas Calientes.
Transfer to the hotel. After settling into the hotel, our guide will give you an introduction for the most important day: MACHUPICCHU.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU CITADEL – CUSCO
Early in the morning, we will have breakfast at the hotel. Around 5:50 a.m. we will transfer to the bus station to go up to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. The trip will take 25 minutes, and finally, we will arrive to witness the impressive sunrise.
We begin the guided tour of one of the Seven Wonders of the World: Machu Picchu. Our guide will tell you about the history and architecture of the citadel, and you will be amazed by the Inca constructions and the natural environment surrounding them. After the tour, you will have free time until 1:00 p.m. to continue exploring and take memorable photos of your visit.
We return by bus to Aguas Calientes and in the afternoon you will have free time until 3:30 p.m. for lunch, rest, and explore the town. At 4:30 p.m. we will board the train back to Cusco, arriving at approximately 6:30 p.m. We will pick you up from the train station and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. Schedules may vary depending on the train departure you choose.
